When people ask me why I started TheraPlug, they usually expect me to talk about technology. The truth is, this story has never been about technology. It’s about people. It’s about neighborhoods where too many young people are growing up carrying trauma they never asked for—yet never have the opportunity to speak with a licensed mental health professional. In too many communities across America, quality mental healthcare feels completely out of reach. When anxiety goes untreated, when depression is ignored, when trauma is never addressed, and when young people are left to carry emotional pain alone, it can affect every part of life. The cost isn’t measured only in healthcare dollars. It’s measured in lost potential, families searching for answers, and communities trying to solve problems after they’ve already become crises. I didn’t create TheraPlug because the world needed another app. I created it because I believe technology can remove barriers that have existed for far too long. Our mission is bigger than software. We’re building technology that helps providers reach more people, helps patients find care faster, and makes behavioral healthcare easier to navigate for everyone involved. When people heal, families become stronger. When families become stronger, neighborhoods become stronger. When neighborhoods become stronger, entire cities begin to change. That’s the future I believe in. That’s why TheraPlug exists. We’re not building another healthcare application. We’re building the infrastructure that helps connect people to care. And we’re just getting started.
